Washita Valley Community Action Council is a private non-profit corporation, incorporated in 1968 to serve Grady and Caddo Counties. The agency is governed by a twelve member tripartite Board of Directors, with four members representing the low-income sector, four members representing the public sector,and four members representing the private sector. With the low-income representation on the Board, the low - income have a role in the planning, evaluation, and decision making of all agency programs.
To assist individuals and families in our communities through public and private partnerships to improve the quality of their lives by minimizing the effects of poverty, promoting self-sufficiency and advocating for social change.
